This ride takes in a couple of infamous hills in central Scotland and can form part of a larger route. Whether ridden in the direction we have or in the opposite direction the route provides two distinct climbs one being the steady Crow Road or the steeper Tak Ma Doon Road.

Due to poor weather on this occasion we started in Fintry where an undulating road takes you past Carron  Valley Reservoir. Climbing from here and you soon crest the hill and are on the technical  descent which Tak(s) ma Doon to Kilsyth. Through the towns of Milton of Campsie and Lennoxtown and it is soon time to begin the climb up Crow Road. Settle into the rhythm and once passed the car park turn the corner for the final push to the top. Enjoy the well deserved descent with swooping corners and you are soon back into Fintry.
